The skin is our last inner battleground in this world of pains and aggressions. We simply can not prevent life from leaving its marks and tracks as it goes by.
This series expresses the duality manifested between beauty and horror, how something can be beautiful and horrific at the same time.
By turning every scar into a beautiful reminder of a lesson learned we can come to terms with our own past experiences and at the same time transform ourselves for the better from outside in.
Like healing tattoos, those beautified scars will tell our tales the acknowledging way, and in escaping the skin will lie our first attempt to transcend reality. |
